Ramblings for the win!

My birthday is coming up tomorrow. : O I'm going to officially be 19 years old. : D I can go bar hopping if I really wanted to.
...Which, honestly, I don't. If I DO drink at all, it's going to be in moderation. :/ I've seen way too many people acting like complete and utter fools. P:
The good thing is, now that I'm 19, we can actually sit in the bar part of restaurants in in the Alpine Zone that is here in the Geary Speedway. Cool beans. : D
....Apparently I look like I'm 20 to some people. :/ I don't know why. Oh well...lucky them it's only a year off. : O Be great for a shock factor though~ <3

I should talk a bit about my poem. I've had an interest in Lucifer since i was 15 (and Wiccan. Funnily enough, it was at this point I realized that humans are most like Lucifer. P:). Yes, I'm not going to deny the fact that I've had an interest in the Lightbringer. Anyways, I wanted to learn more about the being that people call "evil" and in this studying...I've become attached to Lucifer. There is something about Lucifer that draws me in, and I can't exactly pinpoint it. I don't regret my studying, since it has effect my views quite a bit. (Ie. my "Good and Evil" view)
I was talking to a friend online and I was talking about how someone's poems on Lucifer reflect my own point of view of Lucifer. He said I should write a poem about Lucifer, and I thought I should have too. When I had inspiration.
And *poof* the first line that came to my head was "Come, Lucifer! Shining Star, Dawn Star!" and...that's kind of how it came to be.

I use to be Pagan, and stopped for a few weeks, and tried again. However, something didn't feel right. While Paganism draws me, while Paganism is deeply rooted in me, it doesn't feel right. I think it had a lot to do with how my beliefs and views have changed, what I think resonates with me, and what I'm currently drawn to. I've always thought myself as a slightly rational than average Pagan, since I try to rationalize a lot of things. I have my own beliefs that have drawn from experience and observation, and some which are influenced by the LHP.

..I'm going to stop rambling now. :3

Come, O Lucifer!

Come, O Lucifer!
Shining Star, Dawn Star!
Come, O Phosphorus, Hesperus!
Shine light among the living,
Among the dead.
Come, O Lightbringer!
Illuminate and show us enlightenment!
Show us Light in the path of Darkness!

Light and Darkness

Opposites that have existed since the dawn of time
Opposites that we try to define;
Good and just
The other, evil and unjust.
The ‘good’ God,
the other is the ‘evil’ God.
There is co-existence in the good and the evil,
in the Light and the Darkness.
Through this co-existence the forces of Nature function well.
We deny this co-existence,
In fear, and in reverence.
We are sold into the idea that Light and Darkness are enemies.
Thus we make our “world” unbalanced.

Good and Evil are labels.

Notice: I do not mean to offend anyone. This is simply me talking about things I’ve been thinking about for a while. And questions I’ve been pondering on.

Good and Evil are mere labels. For example, Nature gives life, and destroys it. Nature is neither good nor evil. She gives and takes. The Divine are neither good nor evil, they may do good deeds but also do evil deeds that humans do not agree with but this does not make a god or a goddess evil.

This makes a god and goddess as they are, neutral beings. They can be gentle and trusting and they can be destructive and distrustful but that alone does not, nor should not define anything as good and evil.

Humans are the same. They can be gentle, trusting, destructive and distrustful. We should not be defined as good either, nor should we be defined as evil. We. Just. Are.

Everything just is.

But we simply love our labels. Do we honestly need to label our beliefs, or label others? No. But humans have this endearing relationship with labels, making it simply hard to reject the labels because it feels that without them, our world would fall apart. Heck, even I fall victim to the labels! Labels can give the feeling of unity, especially when someone ends up having the same beliefs as you but labels aren’t that all necessary.

And I shall leave you to a few questions you should think about:
Why should you label your beliefs?
Why can’t you just believe what you want without giving it a name?
Why do we need to name religions?
Why can’t we name our own, make it more personal and thus, it’s more fitting for us?
Do we need to fit in a particular box?
Why is it when someone leaves said box, someone tries to pull them back into said box?

Proud Rebel
